Peter Pig 15mm figures
Peter Pig is one of the world's leading 15mm figure manufacturers.  We make 6000 different figures and models.  These are distilled into   1800 (15mm) packs. Every range has an associated set of rules. Also, there are related 15mm scenery ranges to accompany the figure ranges.  In these days of wandering measures of sizes into 18mm, 12mm and other sizes close to 15mm; Peter Pig has remained true to the 15mm ideal.  These other sizes are often an attempt by a manufacturer to create a market  for just their peculiar size. It is also used by sculptors who cannot work well with the 15mm size restriction and so need extra size in order to create acceptable sculpts. Peter Pig will continue to do 15mm wargame figures.  We will also constantly return to each range in order to carry out updates and additions.
Thus we have  15mm ranges with longevity and future potential.

Rules error!  On page 137 of the rules the two headings are in the wrong place!  Thus "land raid" and "Sea fight" need to be swapped. Very sorry for this.

POE features a campaign system. the campaign system should generate about 7 battles. It is intended to last two player months. This makes it short and achievable.

The campaign system allows players to create their own campaign maps. parameters are given.

Here are 3 examples that players might wish to use.

Sea Fight

Game scenario

A raid upon a town or native village.

A buccaneer fleet takes on a merchant fleet.

Table style and size

Square gridded. 6 squares by 4 squares. In 15mm this gives a 2 foot by 3 foot area. In 25mm this gives a 3 foot by 4 foot area.

Hexagon gridded.   5 feet by 3 feet. Hexes are 4 inches from flat to flat. suited to PP 1/450th scale ships.

Amount of figures and models needed

Each base has 2/3 figures on it. Officers are singly based. For both sides combined 40+ bases are needed, In addition 9 officer bases and 24 casualty bases.

10 buildings plus other scatter such as trees and goods.

Each ship is on it's own base.

For the two players combined about 8 ships are needed. these ships are all of the smaller types. The largest would still be slightly smaller that a frigate.

Basic movement system

Only officers can lead bases. Actions are plunder, shoot, gather, move and assault. There are limits to the number of each action.  Repeated actions are allowed on each score of 3,4,5,6.

All measure is done in terms of grid squares.

Wind is judged as being in one of 4 directions. This dictates the number of hexes that can be moved. Adjustments for ship size and quality.

Game length

Four turns per player. Extensions available to the raider, but at a risk.

Until merchant ships are all exited or capture/burnt.

OR

Battle clock completes a table circuit.

Shooting

D6 per base. Saving rolls.

A bunch of D6 from a modifiers table. Re-roll allowed. Typically a raking broadside will achieve 3 damages. A normal, not close range broadside will achieve 1 damage.

Morale

D6  per casualty with less 1 for officer and add 1 for no friends. Results will lose bases. with some  "twists".

when markers reduced ships may strike.

Record keeping

None

Each ship has a "paper" upon it are up to 9 markers.  Sail, gun, crew. Marker show proportion of that type available.

Victory conditions

List of pointed criteria. mainly awarded for plunder value. Hostages, plunder and other.
