The Anglo Egyptian player has a patrol of about 50 figures. This usually consists of two sections of infantry accompanied by scouts. This is not a skirmish game. The men act as units. The player chooses one of the 8 missions from the rule book. The Dervish player has a greater part in the game. Not just an inane backdrop. It is he who decides when and where to appear and fight. This is an innovative and intellectual game that stays a long way distant from "lining up and being shot to pieces" type colonial actions. |
